The hills are greener now after spring rains that came later than usual. We've hosted multiple weddings in the Pavilion. Brides, grooms and their families have used this space to create their own unique event, including music, food and special decorative touches. Business and church groups have hosted large and smaller numbers for conferences and educational events.

The disc golf course is open and ready for guests to enjoy. Signage is in place, bridges are built, the Glass Blown Open players came to compete and a food truck on site was ready with tasty options.

You knew we were building a pavilion. We're still building, almost ready for finishing touches. When
the construction crews leave and landscaping is in place, we'll show you. The fact that we have
7 weddings scheduled over the next year may not be the only reason to move quickly, but it's
definitely on our minds.

There's nothing twisted about the fact that we're thankful for so many blessings in our lives. A short
list includes our family, our friends and the guests who bring such interesting stories to the Clover
Cliff Ranch Bed and Breakfast. We're also extremely thankful for a growing number of energetic and
talented folks who are now helping us serve guests with style and grace.

Would you believe china? Yes! It's new to the Clover Cliff, but it's really quite old. Here's the story.

Tot Blackshere, J.R.'s son, came with his family from Virginia to Chase County in 1867 as a toddler.
We can't resist mentioning that he and his three siblings made the one-year trip to Kansas without
the benefit of anything that resembled an electronic game!

For 79 years, Chase County has enjoyed hosting the Flint Hills Rodeo in Strong City, Kansas. Rodeo
fans block their schedules to be here the first weekend every June. The festivities always include a
Saturday afternoon parade.
