Happy New Year
By now, you know very well that the fact we haven't posted does not mean that nothing is happening.
It's time to once again, bring you up to date with news from our world.
• The pavilion is finished. We couldn't be happier with the results. You may have seen pictures on
Facebook. We are so grateful for an amazing crew. Their hard work and long hours on the job were
the reason we could host an impressive number of events in the past few months. Here are a few
that we remember:
Four weddings
Three company Christmas parties
One all-church fall festival and cookout
An all-day conference for 169 attendees, lunch included
• The disc golf course is now ready for action. We're on the international Glass Blown Open tour,
happening in April. Even those who aren't serious disc golfers are impressed by the fact that the
event sold out in five minutes.
• The Lincoln Suite is getting a totally new configuration and look. Our talented and dependable
construction team has created an opening between the bedroom and bathroom, formerly accessed
from the main hall. That bathroom will no longer have a doorway to the hall - only to the Lincoln Suite.
Although we were a little sad to eliminate the historic claw-footed tub, safety issues made this a good time
to trade it out for a walk-in shower. The newly remodeled suite will also feature a Jacuzzi in the sitting room.
• We are proud to be included in January bridal expos in both Topeka and Wichita.
• A few upcoming events:
Some conferences, including Pioneer Bible translators
Our 4th annual Night to Remember - the popular evening when couples come to enjoy live music, fine food
and wine with time to enjoy each other in a luxurious setting
And always... interesting guests who choose to visit and enjoy the Kansas Flint Hills
