Catching Our Breath After a Terrific Summer...
In our dreams, that is! But we do want to stop and let you know about some of the highlights.
We hosted our 5th wedding. It was truly an honor to work with a happy bride and groom to personalize this important occasion! Making their families feel welcome and comfortable also made us smile.
Craig McCord and Jason Soden, along with their staff and 11 photographers came for a workshop. They focused on improving techniques and artistic skills. We enjoyed seeing an amazing collection of talent. In addition to gorgeous Flint Hills sunrises, sunsets and landscapes they captured authentic cowboys and cowgirls and their horses in action - roping, running and doing what they do every day in the Kansas tall grass prairie. Those riders ranged in age from 9 to 30-something. We didn't ask photographers' ages, but we love having photographs to remind us of an energetic and acrobatic time together.
We hosted guests from far and near. International travelers came from Tuscany, Japan, Germany and Scotland. Boston, New York City and Washington DC are home to others. Visitors from Pennsylvania, Illinois, Colorado and our closer neighbors from Wichita, KS and the Kansas City area reminded us of the main reason we love sharing the rich heritage of the Clover Cliff Ranch.
Right now we're busy with plans for a Moonlight Wagon Ride. We have more stories to share but will save those for another
day soon.
