Victorian Mansion built by Jacob Blackshere
Similar to the historic ranch house at the Tallgrass National Prairie Preserve, the main house at Clover Cliff Ranch was started in 1860 with a one-room limestone cabin; the year Lincoln was elected president, the year before Kansas was declared a state and the year before the Civil War. Upon completion in 1883, it expanded into a Victorian mansion built for Jacob Blackshere and his family.
The house today is open for guests, complete with four bedrooms with private baths and access to the entire historic house. With the Victorian-era décor and furniture, guests are sure to take a step back in time. But modern accommodations make you feel comfortable and right at home. View our rooms.
