Victorian Mansion built by Jacob Blackshere
Similar to the historic ranch house at the Tallgrass National Prairie Preserve, the main house at Clover Cliff Ranch was started in 1860 with a one-room limestone cabin; the year Lincoln was elected president, the year before Kansas was declared a state and the year before the Civil War. Upon completion in 1883, it expanded into a Victorian mansion built for Jacob Blackshere and his family.
The house today is open for guests, complete with four bedrooms with private baths and access to the entire historic house.
